NOSTRIL PAPILLOMA

Nasal papilloma and its resection

Faced with a nasal polyp, malformations of the central nervous system should be studied, because they could be associated.

Surgery is characterized by resection of the papilloma and regularizing the skin and mucosa of the nasal vestibule, to allow the best entry of air into the nostril. In this case, it was decided to repair the notch of the nose in a second stage, around 5-6 years, to allow the growth of the cartilage of the nose (see surgery for Tessier's fissure 1 or nasal notch).

Eventually, when the papilloma resection generates a lot of deformity of the nostril, a 2-stage resection can be planned.

Recurrence is rare.
