Inguinal hernia, hydrocele, cord cyst and cryptorchid surgery leave a scar at the groin level that tends to diminish over time.  A swollen area in the groin and labia majora can be seen after surgery. In the event that there is bleeding after surgery, the skin in the named areas may appear purple, green or yellow. If you have any questions about the wound, or you think there is an infection or bleeding in the area, consult your surgeon, the nurse or the emergency room.
