Rhinoplasty plus Secondary Cheiloplasty in Cleft Patients

The patient's nose with a unilateral cleft lip tends to fall over time. In order to improve the symmetry of the nose and lip if needed, surgery is offered before first grade. This allows to the child to have a better social integration in their environment.

All kinds of irregularities of the white line, such as steps or notches, are repaired on the lip and the excesses or deficits of the vermilion are repaired searching for symmetry.

In the nose the cartilages of the nose are repositioned to lift the fallen nasal wing and improve the nostrils, the tip is thinned and the wing bases are leveled so that they are at the same height.
